LIFE AFTER is putting a face on child loss and the families it touches. The death of a child does not discriminate based on race, religion, or socioeconomic status. Every parent who loses a child is forever changed. These are their stories.
Our first video installments coming this year.
LIFE AFTER is a film series that chronicles how life changes after the death of a child. While each story is different, every parent who has experienced loss is united in a silent fellowship. By sharing their stories, bereaved parents are raising the visibility of this universal issue and helping others who have faced loss understand they are not alone.
EVERMORE is facilitating one-on-one interviews with one or both parents, conducted by expert therapists from the Wendt Center for Loss and Healing. Interviews will take place in a professional studio setting. Each interview will be 60-90 minutes and can be conducted in English, Spanish, or French.
How will my story be used?
EVERMORE is working to build a website to share stories so that anyone can visit on their own time, in their own homes, and at their own pace. Stories may be shared through social media channels or in public or private events to demonstrate the magnitude of the problem and the lack of societal supports for bereaved parents and families.
Is there any cost?
EVERMORE will pay for the studio, video equipment, taping, and interview. We ask that families cover their travel costs to and from the studio.
If you are interested in sharing your story and being featured in our LIFE AFTER program, please let us know.
